Dr. Reben Raeman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology with a research program focused on the gut–liver axis in immunopathogenesis, fibrosis, and regeneration.

Trained in biochemistry, he has over a decade of experience dissecting pathways that drive liver injury and repair. His work integrates biochemical and regenerative expertise to define how tissue circuits can be redirected for therapeutic benefit.

As Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of SyntherionBio, Dr. Raeman leads the scientific strategy and experimental execution, ensuring that preclinical discoveries advance toward clinical translation.
